Last weekend I met up again Tim Andrews. Our first meeting was really just an initial chat with a few photographs taken for good measure, the ‘real’ shoot was going to be on our second meeting.
My concept for the shoot was to focus on the fact that Tim’s diagnosis has enabled him to escape from the rat race, and I wanted to portray the freedom his new found existence has given him. I knew from reading Tim’s blog that he loves to dance, and inspired by the Ballerina Project, I decided that I would like to shoot him dancing in the City of London.
We started off at St Pauls Cathedral, and wound our way down the side streets (and past three Paralympic marathons!) towards the Millennium Bridge. It was here that I captured my favourite shot of the day.
It was a pleasure to see Tim again and spend a few hours with him. After our efforts we decided that we both deserved a full English breakfast and we managed to find one for £4 at London Bridge, bargain!
